Karoline, luckily audience was behind 15mm polycarb/steel net at this event, bad thing was that roboteers didnt have that shield because it would have been too difficult to drive so far away. at next event audience doesnt have any shielding so i drop HCs rpm to 450. (and the weapon HAS a failsafe to prevent a runaway robot killing people)
Ah I must have missed that bit on the video edit when you activated the failsafe, and removed the link before picking the robot up from the middle of the arena floor. BTW it was a very clear picture taken through the 10mm thick polycarb walls required for an arena to safely run spinners in the UK, but you are in Finland so perhaps it wasnt there.
Just finished rebuilding DragonStrike Dragon 2 and Tiamat. DragonStrike is the spinner the only diference is that the top and bottom is now 3cm thick high impact plastic instead of 6mm Ali. Dragon 2 is now 4wd with 18v drill motors. The bottom is 4mm Ali the top is 4mm polycarb and 1.2mm Ti. The sides and rear are 2cm Nylon the front is 2cm Nylon and 1cm Ti. Tiamat is a full pressure Flipper (courtesy of Mario). The side armour is 2cm Nylon the rear is Polypro.
Pics on profile.

Alpha MX
Drive: Bosch 120watt (300Peak)
Battery: 12v BotPack (soon to be changed)
Control: Vantec RDFR23
Armour: 3.2mm Ti
Weapon: 3.2mm Hardox Wedge (with spike!)
Status: Done apart from a few little things to be done for the Winter Tour
Just putting the final touches to DB5, the weapon should be done in the next week. When it is done will put a video on the web site, it should in theory have about 4KJ if I can get the speed up to 8000rpm. Looks like an Astroflight.
