    LOL!
The panels are 6mm polycarb. But Im hoping that nasty spinners will be kept away by simple side bars like in big CHIP. Ill need lots of spares!
Im going to be testing the weapon once Ive have hardened the blades. If things get difficult I can run it on 24v, or use a small solenoid, or do what we do with our other spinner BlacknBlue - namely cut the motor just before every hit.
The power at the moment is 3 x 2100mAh, 12v NiCAD in series. I have loads of other types to try out. 2100mAh may not be enough for a battle.
It may well be that the 2WD design with the blades well away from the robots centre of turning mean that the weapon wont stall anyway-glancing cuts and tears only, especially at 6000rpm.

                ya think? :-p

Noticed that ellis do the bigger brother of the EV- same package and weight, but higher power. I dont have my bosch catalogue on me at the mo, but it was about 1.6kW @ 24V, and ellis wanted about £70 for it- yes, quite a lot, but maybe worth it when the I need more power effect common among spinner builders kicks in :-)

Conundrum Mk2 is running its EV Warrior motor through a 120-S SPNO Solenoid and Team Delta D-Switch with about 100A continuous and 400A inrush which should be well enough to supply our drum with the power it needs which also would be fine for running two Warriors off of, just need to pick the right batteries for the job. (Can anyone say OTT )

Mario has started working on the featherweight he wanted to give me. Its name will be Kashei Bessmertnye (go find a Russian dictionary if you want to know what it means, hint: the tale of the firebird, old folk legend).
We already have the driving part ready, now a frame and a weapon. Weve still not decided on the weapon but he plans it to be gruesome.

By the way, the Dutch feathers are developing well: Pizzabox (will participate in the Worldchampionships -I am in that team for the occasion) and Bonx are doing nicely (also to be expected in the Worldchampionships) and White Devil is almost completely ready and already riding.
Marien, the president of the DRG, had his family build a feather as a learning experience for the wife and kids, not as a competing robot. Grand Slam looks great and drives well. No weapon yet.
