im needing a few questions answered before i can get started on my bot

what is a decent size for the featherweight bot to be , width length and height, i know ever bot is different but just some guidelines.

fixing a flipper, what would be better or is most done, fixing the flipper by hingen it on a bot frame, then the shell, or hinge the flipper straight onto the shell

    thanks

Dimensions of feathers. The old BonX is one of the smallest I know. About 35cm wide 15 cm long(without axe) and 8 cm thick.
Hannibalito is bigger, 44cm wide and 40cm long (without flipperarm) Highest point is 15 cm.

If the shell is strong enough, I dont see any reason to make a seperate support frame. In the newer generation flipper I did the hinge is mounted on the ram. But those play with about 400 kg of instant force on the ram.

I would get a few components bought first, ie motors, batteries etc and see what size you will have to make the chassis to fit everything in.

A great tip is to get a large paper and cut out to the right size for bottom plate, and place out the components on it like the pic in my profoile.
