The IBC has a flip connection. Has anyone successfully used this? Ive connected the input pin to ground via a tilt switch but nothing happens when bot is inverted.

 Question about IBC speedcontroller

 Hiya,

Yeah i have Rob. Works a treat. Though there might be a problem with your tilt switch or something. I wouldnt reccomend using a tilt switch as any hard knocks on the bot and it may flip the controls, wont do good on the motors going full forwards and backwards in a split second.

Use the 3rd Channel to control your flip function.

 Question about IBC speedcontroller

Looks like mine is faulty. I connected pin 5 Flip input to pin 6 ground. Ive tried it with a normal switch too and nothing happens to the motors. Maybe I could check your set up at the next live event I can get to. Theres no jumpers to set are there?
Yes I agree it would be better to use a third channel but I dont have a spare. Perhaps I could feed the tilt activated signal through a short delay (probably use a PIC) to eliminate faulse alarms/bounce etc.
