Afternoon all,
Quite a way through my next FW build so thought I'd start a new build thread. Eventual aim is to be an electric lifter, and the next immediate step is to make some longer motor shafts before putting the internals together on a wooden base plate to give it a quick drive around. It'll also allow me to make, test and tweak the arduino winch control system a little easier.

(ignore the carpet - its going!)
Current specs are:
*new argos gearboxes with 2000kv motors, 100mm wheels
*30a Simonk ESCs running on 4s 4000mah lipo
*153/1 winch with 500kv motor and 80a esc. Rx will input into an Arduino of some kind that in
turn uses limit switches to turn the whole assembly into a giant servo
*dimensions of the parts in the pic measure 25cm wide, 20cm deep and 11cm high.
*weight of the parts in the picture is roughly 3.6kg, adding electronics, lipo, HDPE base and
other bits means eventual weight without armour is around 5.2kg.
Base plate will end up being 12mm HDPE. Armour will be thick mild steel due to the compact nature of the bot. This will then be rubber mounted to the base.
Hopefully the next post will be the first quick test!
