What is the taper like on those parts? Waterjet cutting is the process you've used given the blasted looking edges. I've found some of my parts to be a tad oversized or angled which has made assembly a pain at times.Comment

Is normal with waterjet and laser in thicker workpieces. The beam or jet spreads a bit.
Some machines can compensate that by angling the cutting head. But those are rare, and it's still more art and gut feeling to get the angle correct.Comment

Angle on these is perfect right angle across most parts. The small holes have little burs that need filing but other than that they are perfect!Comment

Yep, Conker 3 and Binky's H13 weapons were cut out on a machine with Angle Compensation from the billet before being milled and lathed. Had to send the 30kg billet to Bristol while we live an hour north of Leeds :-P

Control Waterjet did these, I used kcut for the weapon and it looks like Control's machine is much more accurate. Control have also done my base/back/top sheets which should arrive today.Comment

That's great Harry, from the pics you sent the look great.
Panels are made of 2.5mm alu 6082T6, they will have replaceable HDPE panels over the top of them too. I did want them in Ti, but the only option was to source it myself and I just couldn't be arsed with the logistics of it all when time is so tight. Last of the CAD parts arrive tomorrow, with the new shaft and pulley from Harry coming on Thursday. Bank holiday weekend is going to be a blast with all this to play with!Comment

Looks good! Could do with getting hold of a paint scraper or something similarly thin to attach to the edge of that wedge to make sure you can get under people.Comment

I was planning on filing the end to a sharp angle instead, but I'll see how that works out
