UPDATE
The weapon moves! No problems with sticking or stalling, and it just toppled over a 12kg air conditioner with barely a pause (sadly didn't record that, camera ran out of batteries). Self-righting won't be possible until I add some kind of height extension to the top, but this is a big leap in the right direction!

Well, Manchester was one heck of a weekend, sadly cut short for Ferrovore. Weight allowance meant I couldn't fully cover the wheels, and one of them took such a wallop it dislodged a brush inside the left hand motor. All the resulting arcing and sparking wrecked the inside of it, without enough time or cash to obtain a spare. My teammate was very gracious in letting me drive Mecha Sombra, my old machine, on his behalf for some of the remaining fights.
But I think for now, I'm going to retire Ferrovore to the sidelines and keep it in reserve. Now that Extreme Robots are allowing spinners, it's about time I satisfied my desire to build something with a damaging weapon.
Next year, a new feather will be emerging in the shape of Redline, setting a small-scale template and paving the way for my first heavyweight, Samurai!
