Make your own removable link, get a deans connector and solder a loop of wire across the two pins, as for led's I got mine from eBay but technobots is also good

Looks good, you won't need the BEC though, the BotBitz 30A has one built in

Why not a LiPo battery? It will save you some weight and you'll have a decent self balancing charger to go along with it.

because
1)i dont trust myself with lipos
2)nimhs are easier to use, because of the safety stuff
