Copy the Direct link at the side of your image on photobucket, click on the insert image icon on the forum toolbar, when the box comes up click on the From URL tab and get rid of the tick in the box that says retrieve remote file and reference locally, then just paste the link in the box and click okay.

hi all, not been up to much robot building lately, mainly because of other things in life going on, but i'm thinking of getting some hdpe soon for the inner bulkheads of the box section frame.

(any mazda rotary fans out there... i've got an idea for using a rotor for a shell for something. expensive and rediculous, well, i thought it up )

Look for an RX7 / RX8 that's had blown oil seals and written the engine off.

Ok, thanks Dave. A new rotor is about £100 each

Hi, so not got too much done, but got some parts for a new build.
2 12v argos drills. For anyone thinking of using them in a feather, all of the gears in the first and second stages are metal.
Btw, what do people think about using drill batteries in a beetle?
                        They're 12v 1000mAh NiCads.

what kind of feather are you building? also the drill batteries will most likely be too heavy for beetles

Are you building a feather or a beetle?

Drill batteries by themselves weigh around or in excess of 1kg, seeing as the weight limit for beetles is 1.5kg there wouldn't be much left for everything else.

If you are really stuck for batteries i've got a couple of 1500mah 6v RX batteries that are free to a good home, in series they'll happily run a couple of those 1000rpm beetle motors, the cells will be better quality and they are much smaller and lighter.
