    3 x 2mm HDPE
    1 x 2mm Polycarbonate
    3 x 1mm Polycarbonate
    1 x 1mm Titanium
    1 x 1mm Aluminium
    1 x Titanium wedge
1 x NimH(?) chemistry battery with charger
    Some Combat Ant parts
    Planet 6 6g receiver
    The controller for that receiver
    2 x 2inch x 2inch diameter wheel
3 servos (I forget which ones)
    Sheet of carbon fibre

            I have 3 1mm thick HDPE sheets
I need to measure how big they are though, I think they are 4inches by 4inches

Right, sorry for the lack of updates on this thread, I'm much more active on
                http://gametechmods.com/forums/index.php
So, I've made many prototypes, trying many combinations. and the lightest prototype I made looked like utter crap, so the people on gametechmods pointed me to a guy called haz (on this forum he's harry hills and he's where I got most of my parts from) and he's agreed to give me lighter servos,

And that should end the update

Right, I've finally made a prototype that is satisfying:

                  Pros
                  Fast
                  Well armoured front

                  Cons
Only invertible some of the time (depends how it gets stuck on its back)
                  Wedge is crap
                  No back armour
The controls are weird (need help with mixing etc)
                  Its 18g overweight D:

                  Thoughts?

my only thought at this moment is: Does this guy have the smallest hands ever or are those wheels huge?

But on a more serious note, most of us fail building a decent machine on the first try (or at least I did, and on the second attempt too). Yet every attempt is more experience gained, especially if you try new approaches to it.

Nah,they are, They're better then my original ones as they can at least make invertible when its in the right position

And thanks, this is my best and 4th attempt at making this, but what would you say what I should do next time I build it

I would suggest looking at your components and try to find affordable lighter ones. Even though I never build an antweight (yet) the machine at this point eyes a bit bulky. Once you find a setup that suits you, you can trim all the wires to slightly more than you really need to save additional weight (just a few grams generally).

Otherwise, I can't be more of assistance since this is not a weightgroup I've delved in.

Well, Haz (harry hills) is selling me some stuff, it's just that he hasn't sorted out delivery etc yet

                            >3 months later

HDPE 1mm thick, with 99.9% of the robot's components being sellotape

I also have a plan for a beetle (Version 1, but oh well):

                            I hope the images work

Tape is the best building material ever! My ant is held together with it

Joint project between me and the 5 yr old
