@sam, ive got 2 designs atm, a 1 wheel and 2 wheel one.
Its so hard to choose which one tho as both are good and bad in many ways.
    Idea 1:

    Idea 2:

@matt, I wont be running at full speed for the full fight. Ive calculated that a melty only uses max current about 15 times in a fight

I don't know much about meltys but is it worth trying to make the design well ballanced so it doesn't wobble so much and is more controllable when spinning? All of the designs don't look very symmetrical so may not be ballanced?

I know rhe designs look unbalanced, but the components inside would be. Take idea 1 for example, the weapon would be say 500grams, the ti frame on that side of the axle would be another 200, motors-50g, wheels-80. Then on the other side of the axle would be batteries-150g, motors-50g, wheels-80g, electronics-50ish, ti frame-300g, see what I mean?
The only way to get a dangerous melty is to make have an off set weapon
        For example:
        Death By Translation,
        Spinning Tortoise,
        MBX,
        Gyro King.
        To name a few.
Sorry if this comes across as me shouting at you, I dont mean it.

How about 4 of these to get 4s voltage:

I don't want you making your own packs really. You turn up with a home made lipo that's not up to scratch and I will fail you on tech checks. Buy a pre made pack please.

I agree 100% with Harry if you're not familiar with Lipos don't try and make your own pack, heck nobody does it so doesn't that tell you something?

                  Sooo....
                  Im looking for:
4s, 2000mAh plus, 40c, small as possible, anything else?
                  Found a few on hobbyking
Btw, I agree with both harry and sam on not making my own lipo pack, I was just thinking about the idea.

Found a couple that might be useful, not exactly tiny but you won't find a battery with that capacity much smaller http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...Lipo_Pack.html http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...Lipo_Pack.html
