  • Team Sabretooth

Today I decided to set myself the challenge of putting together a featherweight sized robot in a day. I did not have enough time to create a newly designed Robot so I built a scale model of a famous heavyweight. Pretty happy with it and I've just driven it around the kitchen.

Oh, that is cool! You gonna bring it to any events? But one thing, Sabretooth ESC :/. I ran one of them in Flow and blew it quickly, swapping it out for am XXL; same price, more reliable.

Ha! It's made of MDF and card at the moment, but it drives nicely

Because its just as easy to build two as it is one, jigs and such and I'm building a spare at the same time

                      HDPE inner shells progress

I have now started to collect a nice pile of bits and pieces and the robots are coming together. Once the HDPE inner shells are complete then its off to the fabricators to have their Hardox Jackets completed and the rams modified.

Thanks, The bottle is in its designed place, I've yet to make the clear perspex cover and and a hardox shield for it, to ensure its protected. As a experienced Tech checker will this pass with the bottle in this position?

Yeah- its not outside of the rules mate... doesn't really matter where its mounted.

                              Progress

Nearly up to the Hardox Jacket point. Then it will be pneumatics with ram modification on top of the list.
