    Picked up the first part of the new chassis this moring, the 2nd bulkhead should be ready within the next couple of hours

            Thanks Guys, got it machined on the CNC at uni. The second bulkhead has been machined but the technician used an outdated version of the design so it needs to be redone.

            I haven't pressed the bearings in yet but the disc fits

                        Time to ressurect an old thread.

                        After doing nothing for so long its time to bring back Inertia XL. I meant to get it running for GSL but both time and money were against me so time for another go.

                        A few changes have taken place with the design as I've dropped it to 2WD and reshaped it to look a bit more like the orgininal. It will be using the bulkheads shown above with a couple of small modifications. The disc will still be powered by a 50mm NTM outrunner which has been sitting in the workshop for about a year now. The changes to the design allow for hardox all round as on the original too.

                              Both are milled from Alu. His wheels for the beetle are printed though.
