  • If I get Mitternacht finished we may throw Ysabelle in too but given we can't get a bigger battery in it may be a bit of a dud.

    • Matt don't worry Inertia and Soundwave are ready for another go at causing more than a scratch this time

      • Ahh, it did seem to be running out of power a fair bit... did split my front panel though so you've got that Alex haha!

And excellent stuff Will, bring it on In all honesty, I am glad Inertia stopped spinning, I think the design would be great for deflecting horizontals, but less so for verticals! Might make a few changes this week and see you all down there so I can claim victory once more (or take fhqwhgads back home in a bin bag, one of the two!)

        • The 800mAh 3S in it can't seem to supply enough power to tall 4 components, the RX kept browning out even when the disc was at just 1/4 throttle. We might try a dedicated BEC and a RX battery but given its already 180g over weight... not much point except for whiteboards.

          • Lynx seemed to be having a similar problem with it's drive cutting out, maybe the orange rx i have in there just doesn't like me because all of the trims were messing up as well.

And Matt give Lynx some credit, it was a crack not a scratch

            • What you need, is chopping board! (and cheap ally angle from b n q)

              • Honestly Alex, I'd swap out that polycarbonate for HDPE if you can - that'd probably save a nice bit of weight, I'd imagine!

And haha it is Sam, I'll give you that! Your huge, uber-power bar caused a 2cm wide crack in 2mm hdpe

Haha indeed I do Dave! I meant to come over and say hi at some point, but it's hard putting a face to names. Rancid seemed to hold up really well, may end up borrowing a few ideas with the aluminium angle haha!

                • Might manage a 3cm crack next time!

Seriously though if Lynx works how it has been in recent testing you're all going to eat your words.....just sayin '

                  • Yeah, forget all this with the laptop powered esc's and cnc'd bodies, all you need is a drill, hacksaw and a kitchen step. And shock mounted internals

                        • Liking the look of the drum (or not depending on where my bot is !)

Presume they were cut with a water jet?

What package did you use to design? (Interested in how you got the balance)

                          • Watercut yeah hence rust on the edges. Designed in emachineshop which I suggested to Matt as its piss simple for single toothing stuff.

                              • Looking good indeed. Is that a spare lying on the ground in the second picture or is there going to be another one of these things kicking around next month?!

Also, this thread's only on 27 pages according to my view. Need to increase the posts-per-page ratio, less clicking involved
