  • Gravity 5.2

    As the old topic is locked, lets start a new one.

    Gravity 5 As it was in 2010 :

    Gravity 5.1 2011 @ the O2 ( not much changed ):

    The problems in 5.1 :
    * Exposed air tires
    * Little bit to heavy
    * Not enough room for the bungee cord
    * The Ram was really hard to close
    * No Sremec option.
    * Poor armor on the flipper

    So time to get started, cut of the back end:

    Also the front:

    New custom electronics : ( i will be making a new print for it, this is just temp.)

    The print pulses both intake burkerts for the flip for 250 ms, and than it will automatically open the exhaust burkert valve for 3 seconds.
    For scremec it opens 1 intake burkert for 100ms, and than it will automatically open the exhaust burkert valve for 3 seconds.

    After a test i discoverd the used connectors where very poor, i changed them al for smal andersons

    Smal test movie: ( sorry its in dutch)

    Bungee cord in the flipper arm:

    Test movie ( low pressure of course )

    Lets have a look inside:

    Also fitted a new reduction and HDPE wheels, before 1:20 now 1:15.
    The wheel size is the same height but the depth is reduced, so also the wheel covers are 3/4 cm smaller.

    Test drive:

    All finished and ready for Guildfort :

              Looking good, we've just build something similar for Mute from a motor bike scissor lift, £89.00 off Amazon, looks the same, we've just added a big base onto it for putting tools on

                Re: Gravity 5.2

                Today i have ordered the parts and custom PCB for my remote controlled relay system. I have had some requests from Dutch/Belgium and UK Roboteers to make some for them.

                So far the prototype have been tested in Gravity and TMHWK (Tomahawk).No issue's so far.

                The unit is designed for a total of 3 valve's. They can be connected directly to the PCB, also the main power must be connected to the PCB.The basic program looks like this:

                This is program 1. There is room for more programs that can be selected by the user. If anyone has some ideas for other programs, please let me know.
