  • Axle

    Axle, a fw lp axe robot. Dont think ive heard that name anywhere before. Started it today, bulkheads are cut and bolted to an ali base plate and drive motors are attached. plan for this is to get it partly made at home and at work intime for any possible tags later in the year to pair it up with TS3 - which will be entirely cnc'd at work when started ....               rams got 50mm stroke, so worked out how many teeth of the rack are in a 50mm length then x by 2 and that gave me the right toothed gear i needed for an axe with 180 degree travel.

              might do a bit tomorrow night on it.

                Been casually doing bits on this at work in the mornings before the managers have got in lol but heres the progress so far, tbh they'd probably have let me do it anyway but its never good to ask them for too much lol,

                unfortunatly i can't really have the ports on the ram any bigger so its stuck with 1/8 ports so not sure how much it'll effect the power of the axe, will have to see
