    Re: Mr.Pink

oh i have an idea on how you can get it to self right , if you get 2 15-20kg servos attache them out the sides or top of the robot with a polycarbonate arm attached to them then they might have the power to roll it back over, I've ordered 2 to try on 1 of mine because the lifter doesn't move far enough to roll it back over.
anyway if you want i can keep you updated to if it works

Impressive! Especially for not a very high voltage, looks like it drives very nicely, and easily.
What ESC have you got in there?

              Victors

Impressive Lewis, hopefully it doesn't skid about like that on the arena floor, kinda hard to point in the right direction :P

Woooo! I'm so pleased it has boosted the performance, and from the video by a lot!

                  All in the discharge folks.

I can see you getting some OOTAs if you hit someone hard enough with that! It looks amazing to; reminds me of the original US robotwars winner La Machine, but yours move about twice as fast! Cant wait to go toe to toe with it!

                      Re: Mr.Pink

I have a problem, all the sudden Pink does not respond to the transmitter, Pink does sputter a little bit in response and then stop's.

I've done some test to pin point the problem, I think it's the pwm signal booster cable's or the ESC's which are flashing yellow, don't know if this is a good thing or bad.

Just to tell how it happened, I was bored and wanted to play around with the DX3E it was going fine until there was not much movement in it.

Not to sound condescending, but, checked the batteries? Has caught us out in the past.

                          Re: Mr.Pink

Try the obvious things first. Like Ellis said the batteries can be the source of several flashing issues. You are running a brand new LiPo so you may need to balance charge it. Then check the output on your regulator to the Receiver. That has got me several times when it wasn't running right and cost me a receiver as well; it got cooked with 14.8v

                            Re: Mr.Pink

Well first I need to get a power supply, not relay got round getting one.

I don't use a regulator, don't even know what it is and I power my receiver with a ParkBEC 5V 1.25A BEC that can handle up to 8s lithium.

I thought I'd post this here, I told Ed Hoppit that this robot was Mr Purple (because of the new paint job), not Mr Pink, so he said Mr Purple when he announced the winner of one of the melees :P

Well the paint is stared to look more pink these days, I guess it's got something to do with time. I do own purple paint and it looks noting like this

At the Deeside Leisure Centre event, this has been Mr Pink's best and worst event so far. Winning 1 round, nearly winning 1 round, got count out and commit suicide.

Upgrading to the 14.8v lo-po battery was the right choice but now, Pink is hard to control, I don't know if you can blame it on the arena floor or my drive skills, but I say both.

I may have to consider putting a gyro in him. But I don't know were to get one. (I have looked) I do have plans on making a new Mr.Pink with a lifting scoop. Why not a flipper? Well the combat robot world, does not need more flippers.
