    Re: Team Shock's Robots

Yeah, my homemade bolts in the past have been pretty close to each other without any partitions, and could easily be shorted out if I wasn't paying attention properly when working in the bot with the batteries plugged in. Considering I've got a lipo pack now, these (combined with a lid) will go a long way to making sure I don't set myself/robot on fire. Good to know they can cope with the amps easily enough.

A lid for the board or lipo?

Lid for the board. Just to stop anything touching across the +ve and -ve connectors and shorting out the battery. Some of the ones on eBay come with a lid, but they also come from Hong Kong, so for the time it takes, it's easier just to make a little lid.

3mm should be more than enough enough. I'm just planning to use some 1mm polycarb that I have kicking about, should bend nicely round the edges.

Flipper now works- pleased with the power so far- had quite a big gas leak so I need to fix that and finish off a couple more bits but it is pretty much complete.

                          Re: Team Shock's Robots

In the video the flipper is still running at full pressure but there was a large gas leak and the bottle was nearly empty.

The servo and microswitch is used to fire the valve
