just to say in that video i kept killing the power before i hit anything as i didn't really wana test it in anger just yet
bit of an issue with this atm, can't decide whether ill be running the whole robot off 2 8.4v packs and a 4.8v pack - thats with 18v drills, which in that video didn't seem to have any speed issues or power issues with pushing - in the video thats only with 2 8.4v packs as the 4.8 pack has yet to arrive!
or to have the drive and weapon running off seperate batteries if i swapped out the 18v drills for 12v ones- although inside space is already tight.
so far aswell the bec on the scorpian xl hasn't cut out or anything yet with the weapon spinning full speed and driving full speed, which im surprised at as i've always have bec issues with everything lolComment

cheers, yeah the beater seems pretty good so far, not going to hit anything hard with it at its full voltage untill the champs incase it breaks it lol
dave I would but im broke lol this robot has made me poor, and a £80 or so lipo i ordered 3 weeks ago is still apparantly 'on its way' i can't afford to spend anymore money on it, and i'd still need to buy a propper balancer - next yearComment

Ts2 at the champs didn't do too badly to say it was its first ever event. I got 9 points over all which got me into a play off to get through to sundays finals but unfortunatly my weapon wasn't working and i ended up getting turned over. Even so it must have came 13/14th out of 40 so im happy with that.

It won its first fight against centrifuge and kaizer, chucking centrifuge everywhere which i was amazed by damaging their robot so badly it couldn't run for the rest of the day i believe (sorry guys)- even so its an amazing feeling seeing something you've spent hundreds on and many many hours performing that well. Unfortunatly being a bit lazy i didn't make a new mounting plate for the weapon motor and just used the cast ali one that comes with it which broke towards the end of the first fight. in the second fight i managed to swap weapon motor to a motor which had a half broken bracket with seconds to spare! but didn't run it as i wanted to save my weapon for wedgie in the 3rd fight.

This 3rd fight couldnt have gone any worse lol. I span the weapon up wedgie flipped 2x4 otta and in doing so turned its self over landing on the top of my robot and landing on the beater and the shock broke my motor bracket instantly- i turned and got stuck on the arena floor just over the pit so he then pushed me down it
i think i actually bent his flipper arm thou, mabye a slow mo replay is needed but his arms majorly bend after my weapon caught it
so im stripping this robot down thursday next week, having a look and deciding if im keeping it or starting over again with the bits.Comment
