You can pick them up on eBay for pretty cheap. Mine was £20 when I got it, but that was a few years ago so I dunno if they're more expensive now. I built a very similar robot with camera fitted and just connected a standard 9V battery but it didn't last very long so never really bothered much with it, although I suppose a small lipo pack would probably last a good deal longer. I power my system from 2s 610mah li-po, there´s also a BEC for servos.

I was just talking about building one of these for ScotBots a few months ago. Might try to scale up the concept once all the bank account has be replenished to something that can attract a good crowd at our events.
