Right some changes have been made after i have machined some parts for it the design is below it has brought it lower the base size is around 800mm by 800mm so should drive nice, we going to be running 36v 9.9ah a123's with a top speed of around 16mph, hopefully in the next few weeks alot of the main things have been machinined, the ram, valve, buffer have been machinined and just gotta order the spurs and the pulleys for the drive then we have everything so all is looking good
Hi it is all looking good,
I have a question, how far back is the weapon pivot, in relation to the front of the robot? Also how long is the weapon arm going to be?
I was wondering how far the weapon head will reach beyond the front of the robot.
we are looking at having different length arms depending on which robots we are fighting so we can hit the parts what might bend instead of hitting bulkheads where the strength is
I was wondering about the pivot point, relative to the center of gravity of the robot and weather you may experience any rocking on the wheels when the weapon is fired with a long shaft and weather this leaves you open to counter attacks by the flipper wedges that are around.
thats the thing with any weapon really if a flipper miss's the other robot the front lifts off to leave them open for attack part of building robots really isn't it
