  • Miniroll

    Hi everyone!
Im building a 6kg version of drumroll, because i love the design so much!
I cant make it exactly like original drumroll, because the lack of some materials, but i´ll try my best. Drum material was hardest to get so i got only a 50mm material it looks a bit small for the size. Drum has plastic endcaps and has 4bearings and 12mm shaft.

Looks like it's coming along nicely

I'd like to get an antweight Drumroll built and I've got motors that I could use for the drive and weapon of a middleweight Drumroll so all I need is a heavyweight one

Will be nice to see your version running; roll on the 2011 European Championships

I seem to remember someone saying that European Championships would be held every four years, so I'm just assuming that there'll be another one in 2011. Could be wrong though; but the Eurochamps are the only place I've seen 6kg machines competing so it's where I would expect to perhaps see this mini Drumroll in action

                      Re: Drumroll mini

3.5 oz CO2 bottles are paintball equipment so I'd try a paintballing shop (if such things exist)

They do exist and the cheapest place to find 3,5 oz bottles is on Ebay.

I should have said places because I meant it about the shop.

No, you fill CO2 bottles with liquid CO2. It is basically decanting from one bottle into another. If you are not familiar with the process I suggest you attend live events where experienced roboteers can show you first. Do not try to do this on your own the first time it can be very dangerous.
