Ok , so its my first heavy weight , im not running without walking , i have already built 3 ant weights and a feather weight. If anything this is for personal referance. And as for my somewhat ghetto construction techniques , im 14 .
after a lot of thinking drawing and clicking , i have a cad model , i have also had a play with my arduino and ive got it working as a failsafe , as a heavy weight will definitely need one !
mosfets arrived from maplins and ive started building the speed controller , i have dug out 2 sla batteries at 12 V each , eventually the system will run on 36 V , but for testing , i dont want to over volt the wheel chair motors , if i can bloomin find any that is , bosch motors are being considered.
been farting around with this for ages , i got some rough wheels cut out and i got the tires on , but these motors, as beefy as they are can barely pull the thing along, a dinky bump in floor will stop it dead, and the whole thing only weighed 40 - 50 KG. As well as this, on one of the motors the gearbox was really on its way out. Ive decided to use the good motor/gearbox as an improved electric lifter on my FW and as for the dead gearbox , ive taken the motor of and im going to use it as a new motor for my diy wind turbine .
