    Cheers for replies lads, Managed to get back around to where I was and actually made me rethink the design aspect. Created few "snap" points so dont have to use brackets etc. Things happen for a reason.

    Build something basic for a first build so you don't get fed up and jack it in. My build thread is full of rubbished bodged robots for inspiration. The last one I made even got to the final rounds of the UK champs.

    Same with me, i built my first one aged 13/14 (cant remember exactly), I always said i will have a robot one day.. Im 30 now and im closer than i ever was!

    You just need a lot of time and dedication, as most people will write you off before you even begin!

    Also kinda a weird thought but just out of curiosity does anyone use tie-wraps to connect all armour together instead of welding, screw & brackets and all other ways?

    As per wanting to keep all under one thread heres the next bit im stuck at....How to support the opposing side lifting arm so all the strain isnt on the servo as such.......seems so simple but cant seem to get the answer in my head?!?!? Theres beams going across further down but like something to support the back end :/
