  • Spinners busting my wheels and stuffs

    Guten tag
I'm building a beetle down here at the sewerage works, bit worried about this spinner carry on. Just about to order these fingertech hubs and wheels, and thinking about ordering a few. Should I order a pair of hubs and a pile of wheels, or a pile of hubs and wheels? The wheels are inside the robot but haven't done a great deal with spinners before and the wheels are the only part I'm worried about.
    Cheers ears

Pair of hubs and a pile of wheels. You'll have to modify the hubs to take a 4mm shaft I think though.

Yeah that's summat I can't suss...they say available with a 3mm shaft or 4mm shaft but can't work out how to select the 4mm option in the options, it just keeps dumping 3mm into the basket. Might just sack them off and sort something else.

Yeah I couldn't be bothered paying 12 quid for them. Making my own and a couple other hubs for Tweedy and suvv's beetles.

do you reckon just gluing foam wheels with a 4mm shaft hole would work?

Not really strong enough. And you'd probably struggle to find some with a 4mm bore.

On Lynx I used some plastic pulleys with brass hubs as wheels, you can get them from Technobots. For the tyres I used the belt material that I used fir the weapon, grip was pretty good for such thin wheels.

A few guys here use 4mm prop adaptors from hobby king.they work well.
