  • Servo for a lifter?

If one were to attempt to build something similar to this

Which servo / gearmotor should one be looking at? lol

In a beetle you might get away with a 1/5th bigscale steering servo like the Rhino Pro HV ( 270 Ncm (27.5 kg) @ 7.4 Volt, speed: 0.08 sec @ 40 degrees) which you can power directly on 2S lipo. That is already 175 gram of your beetle gone though.

I'd rather use a compact gearbox motor

a servo will work fine if the arm isnt to long ..... if you have a 10kg cm torque servo on a 5cm arm tip to servo pivot the it will be able to lift 2kg at the tip which will lift a beetle, you can get servos that will doe 15kg quite cheap

          i think i have a 10-13kg servo in mine
