  • beetleweights?

I am nearing the end of my featherweight project and was wondering if it is worth making a beetleweight. If so what parts would you use eg. Sabertooth esc technobot motors. I have spoken to a few people before about this but just wanted to make sure. Sorry if my spelling is bad as i am doing this all from my phone. I fou d these motors and were wondering if they would do :

I also heard that sabertooth 2x12a esc were good in beetles.

Hi! I have no idea about beetles except to say that I think the weight limit is around 6kg? I'm not overly sure on the motors from the link, and if they're common or not. It would appear that the bettleweight stuff is on the verge of taking off.

Seriously? Look at the name of the Beetleweights link on the forum homepage for a clue on where you went wrong.

This is proof that going on the web half-cut is a bad idea.

I don't think beatles will ever be as popular as feathers.
so I would put the money towards a fw or an aw.

Don't write beetles off. They have a lot of potential not to mention there are actually lots out there. Its just no one has arranged any comp's.
Even if their isn't a comp its still a great technical challenge. You have more than enough weight to be creative but its still small enough to be relatively in expensive.

Basiclly If you want to build a beatle weight, find out how else has or is bulding one.
I didnt mean to write them off and they have huge potential with a spinner arena.
              Your choice.

I think I may do an ant next but a beetle is definitely something I will attempt .
