Not too grippy. XFM had a floor that ate tires like nothing else. I was driving on the bare rims in 3 fights.

I remember that floor Leo, as you say, murder on the tyres, :sad: but the grip was unreal!! :shock:
I recall Ed telling me it was grey textured masonary paint with a few handfuls of sharp sand mixed in.

Im thinking a polyurethane floor paint like robo challenge. Or just a steel primer.

If its the same as the robochallenge arena go for it. I'm just chuffed its a steel floor, magnets here I come! (Once i finish my CNC lathe, featherweight, power tool racer.........the list goes on )

Got a few pics today.
only stayed at work an hour and half tonight so only tack welded the 3 leg frames up then loosly assembled a few bits. Ill upload pics soon.

only 2 of the plates have the framework welded under them, the other 2 are just sat on for the pic. inbetween the legs theres going to be X braces, So once i have done the other 2 floor sections and the 12 X braces the bottom half pretty much complete. Got alot of cleaning up to do. 2 full new cans of black spray paint burst over most of the stuff iv cut and the leg frames. a piece of 100mm x 5mm flat bar 2000mm long fell over onto the cans. made a right mess. More annoyed about it going all over my new trainers, and my jeans are covered in paint.
