  • Smaller or alternatives to N20s

    Hi all,

I am in the middle of sketching out a design in fusion, and curious to see if anyone has found any decent alternatives to the N20, or are they considered the best for antweights for size/weight/power ratio?

    Thanks in advance!

N20s are the most common by far and are generally reliable and well put together. I know N10s, which are smaller, exist but pass as to wherever or not they would work.

      Hi Richard

The only real alternative to N20's is, as Lucy says, N10's. They've only been on the market for about a year, so haven't really been tested long term, but a few people have started using them to great effect. On the Robotwars101 forum (an antweight specific group) a builder did a write up testing N10's (link below). In general they are smaller & lighter, with a higher top speed but less torque. I'd recommend them for clusterbots & large spinners, where the size & weight difference really matter.

Thanks for the replies! Will do some research. Currently i am not that desperate to shave off the weight, but those are definitely going to famous last words!

        Thanks again!
