  • Antweight flipper question

Hi guys, so im pretty new to building these. im not interested in going into comps, just a bit of fun in the yard. Ive built a robot using the Sabertooth board (works great) What id like to know is, is there a cheaper way to build a little bot that has just two wheels and a servo for a flipper than using the Sabertooth boards (These are £38.00)?

I didnt know if id seen somewhere you can use two micro ESC but i could be wrong.

    Thanks again!!

    Hey,

For antweights, I'd definitely recommend heading over http://robotwars101.org/forum/. It's where most of us ant guys hang out and there's a wealth of information there.

In answer to your question, the standard setup that I'd recommend to new roboteers would be one of Rory's kits. They come with the control board, receiver, motors, and wheels, all in one package. You can find more information about them here: http://robotwars101.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2187.

    Best of luck .

Yes, Rory is very active within the robotics community, so I'm sure if he has time (and stock) he'll be able to help you out.

It was shipped this morning; there was a slight delay as I was out of stock of a particular part so needed to order it back in first.

Just come through the door thanks Rory, Just a quick question, how do i bind it to my Spektrum DX6i, is the small wire that came with it a bind cable? If so where do i put it on the board. Thanks!
