Antweight Starter components

Hi Everyone,
I have recently discovered a interest in battle robots after watching a few videos on YouTube and remembering Robot Wars on tv. I would love to build my own ant weight as a starter project. I currently own a 3D printer (and modeling experience, 3d of course!) so I know I can build the frame without much effort. What are some of the basic components I can use to build a battle bot?

Also I don't have a very big budget for my first time if there are any ways to reduce costs that would be great!

I highly recommend Rory's kits:

They are by far the easiest way to build an antweight and are really lightweight and compact so make it much easier to get the antwieght in weight/ in the size limit.

I second Maxs recommendation of one of Rorys kits. Easily superior to any other alternative for a good price.
