  • new servos and Giant Shark links

hey these servos have carbon fibre gears and make 40% more torque.
    and LOOK AT THE PRICE.
I'm getting some hopefully and will let you guys know if i to and how it goes.
    speed hacking might be different.
please post cool links to new GS products.
they've. also restarted selling the lipos i use in hazard2.
famous of course for not exploding.
edit: a link might be helpful.

does 40% more torque mean 40% more amp speed controllers?
i got them at 2.2watts that sounds rubbish.
but if you say its 1/50 the power of a gr-01 that sounds better.
can anyone calculate the watts properly?
    the servos are 100rpm
    2.2kg/cm stall torque
    thanks

      This is a nice tool:

      http://www.sensors.co.uk/torqsense/torque-calculator/

      Comes up with 2.2 watts.

That's 100rpm output though after the gear box, the motor itself will be turning at a higher rpm and so will give a higher power rating.

Re: new servos and Giant Shark links

ok so I wonder if anyone can help with my GS order.
1stly the servos with carbon fibre gears, (worth a try?)
Servo moding failed last time and I think it could only get worse with the carbon gears.
seccondly, I have found M5X5 grub screws on the site (I know M5X8 is ideal but they dont sell those)
could I use a nylon M5 screw. screw it in and cut it down?
        help appreciated
        Archie
