  • Relay and speed controller

I know this is the wrong forum for this but never mind-
What do most people use as a relay for the weapon motor on their ant weights?
Also are there any cheap speed controllers you can use for antweights so I don't have to use servos?

No one uses relays on their Antweights. Most people use brushless motors and esc.

What size brushless motors do people use for drum spinners?

If you are wanting a spinner, antweights tend to use brushless motors between 18 and 22mm can size. You need a special brushless control for these motors.

If you are using a gearmotor for, say, an axe or motor-powered flipper, you would use a small single channel ESC such as a Banebot 3A or a Scorpion Mini, both available from Robot Market Place.

I've built a couple of antweight drum spinners- both of them use an 18mm diameter brushless motor which sits inside the drum. This was controlled using a 6A brushless ESC
