What do you think to converting this into an ant weight. It looks fairly small, and it says it can turn 360. As its 4wd, if the front 2 wheels were removed, and the casing and wheels were modded it should still be able to rotate 360. What do you think. I am looking to build a cheap ant weight to take part in a competition in my area next month. Would it be light enough?

I think you would be wasting your time. These R/C toys usually use a very basic control system that works somewhere in the 27 or 40 MHz R/C band. They do not have narrow-band receivers, so will suffer chronic interference in close proximity to other transmitters and/or cause interference to several channels.
Better to save your 17 quid and put it towards some proper R/C gear...
