  • Antweight ESC's

I want to build a new antweight, But what ESc's should I use?
What is better the Sabertooth 2x5a or the Sabertooth 2x5a for RC?

    Re: Antweight ESC's

of those two, the one thats for rc. i use it in iAnt abd it works fine. the only downside is that it weighs 18 grams, which is quite alot if you ask me.

Peter Waller has developed a series of speed controllers, which many of todays ants uses; http://www.antweightwars.co.uk/Controllers.htm

You can also use two single-channeled controller such as:

    Scorpion Mini: http://www.robotpower.com/products/scor ... _info.html or http://www.robotmarketplace.com/product ... MINI2.html

    Banebots: http://banebots.com/pc/ELECTRONICS/BB-0309 or http://www.robotmarketplace.com/products/0-BB-0309.html

    Hope this helps,
    Philip J

You push the stick on the transmitter in the other direction no modification needed.

Well, when I try the highest speed of the motor is in the middle like this <highest point> where as to reverse it needs to be like this >off< so there is room either side off the stick for forwards and back. If you get me please help.

I'm wondering if the trims on your transmitter are so far out of the middle that you have to have the stick all the way to the bottom just to bring it to neutral. If thats the case, disconnect the motor for a moment, and move the trims of the transmitter so they're in the middle, there is a light on the scorpion that goes green or red depending on which direction. In neutral it should be off.

              Re: Antweight ESC's

Its a really weird problem I have which is if I push the stick all the way up the power gets cut again. So no matter what I do with the trim it still will not reverse as I already said it is doing pretty much the opposite of what I want it to do. Its like off=go and then I choose which state of off I would like. What affect would reversing the channel have. I really wish I had not chosen speedo's as my first antweight design its becoming a nightmare. By on the diagram you showed me I noticed that the battery was plugged into the holes with M written on them is this right because I tried it that way and I had no control what so ever.
