  • Antweight Full Body Spinner

I'm curious could you build an antweight full body spinner The concept is there and I think it is plausable, How would I go about making the shell? a small wheel hub maybe bellow the 4 inch diameter?

    It has been done before:

They tend to use custom milled shells, usually ali, although for Anticyclone I believe Peter Waller used an ashtray or something similar :P The problem with antweight full body spinners is that they really aren't too effective, as the low weight physics of horizontal spinners in general is against them (when a 150g/225g robot hits another one with a third of its weight in the spinning weapon, both are going to go flying very far with the energy involved) and in order to get a good shell and a good drive for the weapon into the weight and size limit you often need to compromise on drive (or maneuvrability if you make it a walker)

Doesn't an antweight have to fit in a 4 block in the rules? Or have i missed read?

It does - individual dimensions can be greater than 4 inches as long as it goes in the 4 cube somehow.

Right yeah, I found a 3 and a 4 inch diameter round bar (Solid) which can be milled I might use the 4 inch block then thatway I can make the teeth and the shell all out of one peice.
