Pookie was sold to some little kid who offered more than I paid for it... So I figured it was a good deal :-p... I thought I told you that..?.. That is why I need another.
The ram shoots forward because I believe that is the best way... The ram fits inside the arm which saves alot of space. Where are pictures of how you do it?
Oh, cool, youre from Vegas ? Lovely city, been there before, I was at the last World Championship (Im the big guy in blue near the bottom holding the england flag). Ill see if I can get some better shots of the mechanism.
I would also like to point out that that same mech holds a kbot flip record. I kbot of 500g flipping a bot of the same weight 13ft forward (we couldnt measure the height)
Note: we can put in more force that the weight of the robot, so can pneumatics, so I figured the same thing can happen. Besides, we can only put so much force into the mechanism, a lot of the time its fired with a simple thumb movement
Hey Chad, would you care to reveal where you got your valve from for Get Flippen? Im just playing around with ideas even though theres no ideal weight class for this scale model stuff in bots in the UK. Is it just a simple tank to valve then to ram hook up youve got going? What size tanks are you using as I notice Robart do a few sizes. Hope you dont mind me asking.
G-14 classified... Sorry...

. Just kidding...
It is the high flow valve thet the IL guys used to sell and the small tanks that you can get from Robart... I know a guy who is selling a pneu kit which has all the parts that are in GS...
Cheers Ill see what I can come up with. Have you managed to get much work done with regards to attachments and interchangeable panels on the bot as of yet? Im still interested to see how it performs in combat Thanks again.
I made a few different nose pieces for the 1 event that I have taken it to€¦ Which was, to say the least a MASSIVE disappointment! The floor was not flat and at the start of the first fight vs. a bot that I should have had no problem with I realized that it could not move!!! The bot is so low that the bent floor kept me from moving! Not wanting to hold up the show I said F it and told the guy to bring it on€¦ he would push me a little which would let the wheels hit the ground and I could move until I hit another bump. So I just fired the arm to see what would happen every now and again when he got close. It dented the armor a little and broke a arm link (the bot has a horz spinning bar), but other than that it is fine. I just forfeited the next match because I had 2 other bots to tend to and did not want to hack up the robot to give it a quick fix. I am thinking about selling it actually€¦ Maybe 1 more event€¦ I dono :-p Np Ewan... Wana know anything more just ask! You can shoot me a mail if you like.
Oh well, I know myself what a pain un-flat floors can be, better luck next time though! Will be good to see battle videos when you next get round to competing with it though! And yes I should be well on my way to getting a pneumatic set up soonish if I have my way Thanks again for the pointers.
