Hello. I'm looking to take the plunge into brushless drive. I think I've sussed the motor gearbox combination I want, I'm looking at mating a 1400kv DYS BE1806 motor to a 22mm 500 rpm gearbox. My question is about the ESC's to drive them. I've been advised to look into BL Heli, I was wondering 2 things, do you think these Emax 12A ESCs will be suitable? If not any recommendations?

Also I've found this video that talks through flashing single ESC's with BL Heli via an Arduino nano. Is that how people are flashing them? I'd rather not strip off the heat shrink and start soldering to the board if I can help it!
