Information
Tomahawk was originally built as Lazerus in 2002 by Paul Kendrick from Birmingham, It failed to qualify for Robot Wars, the UK Sixth wars. After competing in a few live events, Lazerus was given a bigger more powerful axe and renamed to Tomahawk. Tomahawk managed to qualify for the UK Seventh Wars but was beaten in the first round by IG-88. In a few live events following Robot Wars, Tomahawk was a well-known axe robot along with Terrorhurtz as it was really destructive having destroyed computers in demonstrations and in one battle in Denbigh 2005 managed to seriously damage Tornado and Kan-Opener in a battle. Tomahawk then went into retirement for a bit until 2012 when Belgian roboteer Marco Van Hek purchased it and restored it to fighting condition with the help of some other Belgian and Dutch roboteers. It came out of retirement from that point and fell in the heats of the Roaming Robots 2012 Winter Tour but is still running today. Since it came out of retirement under the ownership of Marco, it has also been known as TMHWK2013.
