Information
Tanto is a heavyweight that was built by Craig Danby. The first version was built for Robot Wars Series 7 in 2003 but failed to qualify. Since then Tanto has been rebuilt 5 times and is now in its 6th incarnation which was built in 2013. Tanto has kept the same tradition of being small for a heavyweight for many years and mainly acts like a robot that can wear other people down. Although Tanto is considered an underdog, it is considered very tough. It has managed to reach the finals of the 2005 UK Championships and once broke Terrorhurtz's axe at the Roaming Robots event that was held in Wicksteed Park in 2005. Tanto has also fought in the RoboGames 2014 event where it lost to Brazilian competitor Touros Maximus.
